SOFIA TSIAMPAS
PRimary assistant Teacher
Since 2018
Ms. Sofia is a New World treasure who radiates kindness. All our toddlers enjoy her fun bright personality and loving nature as she guides them during lessons, sings with them at circle time, or offers them a quiet moment to share their thoughts.
Sofia attended Robert Morris University and received her Montessori training at the Seton Montessori Institute in Chicago.
Her passion for Montessori education started at a young age. Teaching in a traditional education setting and other previous work experience in the medical field prompted Sofia to seek for a more supportive way to encourage learning, growth, and development. It wasn’t until she started working with children at a Montessori School that Sofia found her calling.
Growing up as part of a large Greek family, Sofia knows well how to offer comfort and create excitement with all our little people. Her goal is to one day be a lead Montessori teacher.
As a child, what was your favorite toy or childhood activity?
Growing up, some of my favorite childhood activities were baking, cooking and making art crafts with my sisters. I enjoyed baking and cooking for different holidays and for different seasons. I loved the smell of apples and pumpkins during the fall, the smell of pizza and bread during the winters, the smell of the Greek Easter cookies during spring, and the smell of strawberries and making strawberry jam during summers.
