CARMELLA RILEY

Toddler Teacher

Since 2015

Carmella is a superstar at New World. Her patience and love for all our toddlers fills her classroom each day. Each little person in her room finds support, patience, encouragement and delight.

Even at a young age, Carmella enjoyed working with children and appreciated their inquisitive nature. After a short time studying to be a nurse, Ms. Riley quickly realized her calling and changed her plans. She studied early childhood education at Cardinal Stritch University and received her Montessori Infant/Toddler Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center.

Ms. Riley is a special caregiver, and she has a way of embracing each child’s potential. She listens and observes which lessons spark each child's unique curiosity. From there, she provides support to help each child build confidence and encourage their natural eagerness to learn more.

Carmella’s toddler classroom is warm, inviting and fun. Ms. Riley creates a calm, nurturing environment where each child is given love and comfort as well as freedom to explore and learn.

My favorite part of the school day is...

Group time! I love watching all the children engage with one another through a song or activity. During group time I also get the opportunity to spark their curiosity by introducing new lessons.

What are you happiest doing when you are not teaching?

My faith is very important to me so any time spent on my spiritual well-being makes me happy. Also, when I have one on one time with my kids. I love our conversations and getting to know how their view of the world is changing as they grow up.

What is your favorite children's book?

“My Many Colored Days” by Dr. Seuss

I really put my heart into my children and classroom. I want to make sure that every child feels safe and at ease. I treat them as my own and want the best for each one of them.

Read about enrollment, tuition, discounts and options for before and after-school care. Learn about how classroom supplies are included in tuition and other class offerings including Spanish and music.

We understand the importance of nurturing a child’s natural ability to care for others, help those in need, and learn through first-hand adventures. Our students know the impact they can have locally and globally.

The Montessori approach respects the needs of each child, allowing them to develop at their own pace. This increases confidence and creates opportunities for rich exploration at every stage of learning.
